Taking organic farming a step ahead with the success of the third phase, the Yogi Aditynath-led state government has devised a special
five-year campaign drive. The state government has offered a 75% grant in due process to ensure 22.7 lakh biofertilizers to approximately 30,000 farmers. Moreover,
a farmer awareness program has also been proposed across 838 state agricultural seed depots in 825 development blocks. The main highlights of the program are as follows:

The Farmer Awareness Drive will facilitate nearly 50,000 farmers through training.

A 75% subsidy will be provided to the farmers to promote the use of biofertilizers.

Nearly 90,000 farmers will benefit from the subsidy.

The Union Home Minister will launch the ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ Conference.

50% assistance on the purchase of nanofertilizers will also be provided.

The event will be marked as the International Day of Cooperatives in 2024.

The initiative will strengthen 10 bio-fertilizer production units in Lucknow, Jhansi, Ayodhya, Banda, Ajamgarh, Meerut, Varanasi, Etawah, Gonda, and Aligarh.
